Hemming & length
Length adjustment for eligible dresses, skirts, trousers and gowns.
Alterations & fit
Fit corrections and garment refinement for pieces that can be improved safely without compromising their construction.
The service
Alteration work begins with assessment. Some issues can be improved through hemming, seam adjustment, sleeve work or controlled reshaping. Other garments have limited seam allowance, complex boning, beading, prints or construction that make a major change impractical.
Exucia King assesses eligible dresses, suits, gowns and occasion pieces and explains what is realistic before work begins. The goal is improvement without damaging the original structure or finish.
What this service can include
Final scope depends on design, timing and production capacity.
Length adjustment for eligible dresses, skirts, trousers and gowns.
Controlled fit adjustments where seam allowance and garment construction permit.
Selected sleeve or shoulder corrections after assessing the original construction.
Targeted changes to improve how an existing garment sits on the body.
Larger transformation requests are reviewed to determine whether reconstruction is worthwhile.
Eligible closures, lining, hems or other finish concerns can be assessed.
How it works
Assessment is most accurate when the actual garment can be inspected on the wearer.
We separate fit issues from construction limits and decide what can realistically change.
Scope, risk, timing and price are confirmed before the garment is modified.
A follow-up fitting may be needed before final finishing.
Planning
Alterations can reveal hidden construction issues once a garment is opened. Allow enough time for assessment, work and a possible refit, especially for bridal, eveningwear, suits or heavily embellished garments.
Questions
No. The available seam allowance, lining, boning, beading, print placement and original construction determine what is possible.
Possibly. Bridal alterations require assessment because structural changes can affect support, proportion and finishing.
Yes for garments where hem length depends on heel height.
Not necessarily. Major reconstruction can involve more labour than expected, so the studio will advise whether the alteration is sensible.

For alteration enquiries, send clear photos of the garment and fit issue, then arrange an assessment if required.
